Dustin S. Klein is Publisher & Executive Editor of Smart Business Network, one of the nation’s largest publishers of local management journals, under the Smart Business name. With regional publications from coast-to-coast, Smart Business is a management journal that provides insight and advice to more than 750,000 C-level executives of middle-market and large companies.

A veteran business journalist, Dustin joined the Smart Business team in 1997 as a reporter after holding reporting and editing roles at three different daily newspapers. He held numerous roles at Smart Business, including editor of the Cleveland and Akron/Canton publications and corporate executive editor, where he was responsible for all content-related operations for the publications.

Dustin is a native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and a regular keynote speaker on such issues as innovation, media relations, management, leadership, journalism, and the role of media in the business world. He writes a weekly blog, Thoughts from the C-Suite, where he talks shop with top leaders around the country. Beyond “The Benevolent Dictator,” he is also the co-author of “Stella’s Way,” which recounts the business and life lessons of a Romanian immigrant entrepreneur.
